Cultivation

Origin: in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, by Charles Laking. Introd. about 1925. Parentage unknown; discovered in 1920. Tree: more hardy than King. Apparently no longer propagated. Fruit: size medium; skin yellowish-green, washed and streaked with red, appearance attractive; quality good; resembles King but keeps longer.
