USPP 2982; 28 July 1970, assigned to Hilltop Orchards & Nurseries. Whole-tree sport of Summerland McIntosh, discovered in 1964. Tree: spur type; very compact growth; upright; vigor equal to McIntosh, productive, highly resistant to powdery mildew, extremely hardy. The British Columbia Fruit Growers’ Assn. selected this variety as the official McIntosh strain for British Columbia. Fruit: same as Summerland McIntosh and ripening date same.
