Cultivation

Origin: in Rehovot, Israel, by Chanan Oppenheimer, Agr. Res. Inst. Introd. in 1955. F2 (Calville St. Sauveur × an unnamed local seedling). Tree: resistant to delayed foliation; best adapted to dwarf rootstock M.9; on M.9 good shape and very prolific; hardy. Now obsolete. Fruit: roundish; skin with less color but fruit with better flavor than Vered; ripens in June.
