Cultivation

Late, dessert-type, triploid apple, with good keeping quality and Vf scab resistance. Origin: Institute of Experimental Botany, Czech Republic by J. Tupy, O. Louda, and J. Zima. Golden Delicious × Otava; selected 1997; USPP 19,276; 30 Sept. 2008. Tree: medium-high vigor; upright-spreading habit; 70-80° crotch angles; annual bearing; resistant to scab (Vf); low pollen fertility; fruits do not drop when ripe. Fruit: broad globose; large; skin surface bloom and greasiness of skin absent or very weak; skin ground color yellow with little light-red to orange-red overcolor which may be absent, low amount of russet; flesh yellowish, medium to firm, very juicy; rich flavor, well-balanced in sugar and acid content; ripens late-season.
