Origin: in Ottawa, Canada, by Canada Dept. Agr., Res. Sta. Introd. in early 1930s by Seager Wheeler, Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada. Pioneer × Tetofsky; cross made at the Central Expt. Farm. Tree: hardy; yields regularly; bears on young trees. Fruit: small; dessert quality fair to good; matures early, during late August.
