Cultivation

Triploid, scab resistant (Vf), late-season yellow apple. Origin: Institute of Experimental Botany, Pencin u Liberce, Czech Republic, by J. Tupy, O. Louda, and J. Zima. USPP 18,541; 4 Mar. 2008. Tree: very vigorous; rounded and spreading habit; 80-90° crotch angles; male-sterile triploid; blooms 2 d before Golden Delicious; annual bearing. Fruit: globose to globose-conical; medium-large, 75-80 mm diameter; yellow skin usually lacking overcolor; rich flavor, balanced sugar:acid; late-season; best eaten after 2 mo. storage; very good keeping quality.
