Cultivation

Orange-red apple with firm flesh and balanced flavor. Origin: Oshu-shi, Iwate, Japan, by T. Takano. Shinano Gold × Takano 1go (Beni Roman®). Tree: vigor moderate; blooms early May in Iwate; resistant to Alternaria blotch. Fruit: ovoid conic; orange-red with whitish green ground color; flesh firm, ~6.9 kg; sweetness/acidity balanced, 14.5-15.0 °Brix; 0.33 g/100 ml malic acid; ripens late August to early September in Iwate.
