Stamens clustering by height opposite petal break and then curling out of the way of the developing stigma; filaments conspicuously flared, eventually blue; anthers white, sagittate; pollen pale yellow.Pistil very stipitate, ovary glabrous, bladder shaped, rather compressed; style nearly as long as ovary, hooked. Fruit dehiscent, bilocular capsules10–11 mm long, 7 mm diam., stalked, ovoid (bladder shape), blue, eventually brown. Seeds many, intermeshed into one row per loculus, discoidal, minutely pitted.
