Characteristics

Stipes obtusely angular, striate, green, scattered-pilose or glabrous, c. 70-300 mm long. Pinnae obdeltate, flanks shallowly concave or straight, outer margin rounded, irregularly crenate or crenate-dentate. Pedicels terete, slender, wiry, erect, or rarely entire, appressed-pilose at first. Pedicels arising from very base of stipe or just above, erect or slightly arching, rather slender, flexible, c. 20-45 mm long. Sporocarps solitary or crowded, obliquely ovate-oblong to elliptic in lateral view, narrowly elliptic in dorsiventral cross-section, not bordered, typically inclined at an angle of 115-130o with pedicel; lateral ribs not present in mature sporocarps; veins (seen interiorly) not anastomosing; raphe distinct, attached to 1/2-4/5 of sporocarp base; inferior tooth almost obsolete; superior tooth distinct, prominent.
