Leaves shortly to long-petiolate, the petioles 0.1–1(–1.3) cm. long; leaf-blade ovate or elliptic, (0.6–)1–4 cm. long, 0.4–2.5(–3.5) cm. wide, acute, subacute or obtuse at apex, subcuneate or rounded at base, membranous or thinly chartaceous, lateral nerves 4(–7) pairs, midrib and main nerves scarcely prominent above, slightly so beneath, green and often with a white median blotch above, somewhat glaucous beneath.. Stipules lanceolate, 1.5–3 mm. long, acutely acuminate, fimbriate-toothed towards the base, scarious.. Fascicles bisexual..
