Leaves opposite, linear, 1.3–4.2(–6) cm long, 0.8–1.3(–2.5) mm wide, acute, with only the midrib evident, strongly revolute at margins, gland-dotted.. Inflorescences 2–10-flowered, (0.3–)1–3 cm long, the flower pairs well-spaced.. Petals pink, 5–6 mm diameter.. Staminal claws purple, mauve, lilac, pink or white, 2.2–6.2 mm long with 30–90 filaments.. Fruit globular, 7–11 mm wide with narrow opening.
