Vines; stems herbaceous, glabrate. Leaves entire, narrowly triangular to broadly ovate, mostly long-acuminate, basally truncate, cordate to hastate, densely pubescent to glabrous. Flowers in umbelliform inflorescences; sepals oblong, 6-8 mm long, rounded apically, the margins scarious, glabrous or pubescent; corollas yellow, 3-3.5 cm long. Fruits capsular, 8 mm in diameter; seeds dark brown, densely pubescent with short trichomes.
Thickets, along edges of forests, in plantations, in grasslands, along fields and roadsides, at elevations from sea-level up to 1,100 metres.
