Characteristics

Leaf lamina very variable, from lanceolate-ovate, acuminate, entire to deeply 3–9 lobed, up to 9 × 8 cm., with a shallowly cordate base; lobes linear to lanceolate, more or less entire, acute or obtuse, up to 6 × 1·5 cm., the terminal one generally much longer than the lowest ones, minutely hirsute on both surfaces with prominent veins on the inferior; petiole 0·3–0·6 cm. long.

Inflorescence cymosely few-flowered, more or less dense; peduncle up to 11 cm.; bracts ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, acute, up to 12 mm. long, subfoliaceous, obscure at the base of the sepals; pedicels 2–6 mm. long.
Corolla funnel-shaped pale yellow or whitish up to 3 cm. long; midpetaline areas very strigosely pilose, above all at the apices.
Stems prostrate or trailing, subcompressed and angular, clothed, as is the whole plant, with short yellow-brown pubescence.
Sepals elliptic, up to 12 mm. long, acute to obtuse, pubescent, coriaceous.
Capsule yellow-brown, coriaceous laciniate when dehiscent.
