Perennial herb, 0.09-0.75 m high; stems simple or branching ± from base, erect, ascending or decumbent, narrowly winged. Leaves opposite, sessile, simple, 47-60 x 16 mm, lanceolate to narrowly oblong, irregularly denticulate. Flowers single, axillary, pedicellate in lax, leafy racemes. Corolla up to 12 mm long, tubular, bilabiate, white, cream-coloured or pale yellow with contrasting spots inside. Flowering time all year, mainly Dec.
Leaves 2.0–4.7(6.0) x 0.3–1.6 cm., lanceolate to narrowly oblong, apex obtuse to subacute, subcordate or obtuse at base, almost entire or more usually laxly denticulate, glandular-punctate beneath, sessile.
Perennial herb, up to 400 mm tall, branched at base. Leaves opposite, simple, sessile, narrowly ovate, entire or dentate, petioles up to 25 mm long. Flowers solitary in axils of leaves. Flowers white.
Calyx 4.5–8.5 x 4–6 mm., campanulate, lobes 1.3–2 x 0.5–0.7 mm., broadly lanceolate to deltoid, acute, minutely ciliate, ribs prominent especially in fruit.
Flowers solitary in leaf axils on long pedicels forming loose, leafy racemes; pedicels 1.0–3.5 cm. long (up to 5 cm. long in fruit), slender to filiform.
Corolla 7.5–12 mm. long, tubular, white or whitish, throat yellow with brown protuberances.
