Leaf-blades elliptic-oblong, 3.5–14 cm. long, 1.8–5.4 cm. wide, rounded, slightly emarginate or obscurely subacute at the apex, rounded or subcordate at the base, thin, ferruginous pilose on both sides when very young, at length glabrous above save for some pubescence on the midrib, sparsely pubescent beneath but with main nerves retaining long ferruginous hairs; venation closely reticulate but only slightly raised on both surfaces; petiole 3–6 mm. long, ferruginous pilose when young..
