Characteristics

Rhizome creeping, slender, branched, simple, scaly; scales clathrate. Fronds spaced or crowded. Stipe indistinguishable from lamina. Lamina very narrow; venation consisting of a midvein with or without lateral veins. Sori elongate; sporangia in a groove close to the midvein, with 1 or 2 indusium-like flaps attached along the midvein or on a lateral vein; paraphyses filiform or with clavate terminal cells.
