Plants 300-400 mm high. Corm globose, 8-14 mm diam.; tunics of light brown, fine fibres. Stem usually flexed outward at nodes, usually 3 internodes long, several-branched, with up to 3 branches per node, sheathing leaves 35-45 mm long, with dry, attenuate tips. Foliage leaf solitary, linear, channelled, exceeding stem, usually trailing above, 1.5-2.2 mm wide. Rhipidial spathes attenuate, dry and brown toward apices, inner 45-50 mm long, outer ± 1/2. Flowers long-lived, pale creamy yellow, outer tepal limbs with dark spots at bases and on claws, slightly reflexed, claws diverging at ± 60º, forming a wide cup including stamens and style branches; outer tepals broadly obovate, 19-21 x 8-9 mm, claws ± 9 mm long; inner tepals oblanceolate, ± 14 x 4 mm. Filaments 4-5 mm long, united in lower 2/3 in a slender column, free and diverging in upper ± 1.5 mm; anthers 4-6 mm long, diverging, slightly exceeding style branches and sometimes crests, creamy white; pollen orange. Ovary ± cylindric, ± 4 mm long, included or partly exserted; style branches slightly wider than anthers, 5-6 mm long, crests broadly deltoid, slightly < 1 mm long. Capsules club-shaped to ellipsoid, 8-10 mm long, well exserted. Seeds narrowly angular-prismatic, ± 2 mm long.
