Cormous geophyte, up to 450 mm tall. Leaves 2 or 3, linear, channelled, often trailing above. Flowers enclosed in dry spathes, pale blue-mauve with a cream cup including the stamens, with yellow nectar guides, tepals subequal, often half nodding, claws forming a cup ± 12 mm deep, limbs spreading, anthers cohering, partly concealing minute style branches, style crests vestigial, ovary veined red. Mostly June-Aug.
