Plants slender, 150-400 mm high. Corm ± 10 mm diam.; tunics of wiry, black fibres. Stem flexed above leaf insertion, 1-to few-branched, bearing sheathing leaves 20-40 mm long. Foliage leaf solitary, inserted well above ground, channelled, exceeding stem, 2-4 mm wide, often broken and trailing above. Rhipidial spathes attenuate, inner 40-50 mm long, outer ± 2/3 as long. Flowers fugaceous, pale yellow, limbs of all tepals with deeper yellow nectar guides at bases, spreading horizontally, claws short, appressed to lower part of filament column; outer tepals ± 28 x 12 mm, claws 1-2 mm long, limb pandurate-obovoid; inner tepals up to 20 x 8 mm. Filaments 5-6 mm long, partly united in a slender, smooth column, free and diverging in upper 0.5-1.0 mm; anthers ± 4 mm long, diverging and arching inward distally, exceeding stigmas, collapsing after anthesis, yellow. Ovary ± cylindric, 7-8 mm long, included; style branches broad, flattened, ± 2.5 mm long, stigmatic lobe upright, receptive laterally, crests 1.0-1.5 mm long. Capsules and seeds unknown.
