Plants 700-1100 mm high. Corm globose, 15-22 mm diam.; tunics of coarse, wiry, dark brown fibres. Stem straight, 3(4) internodes long, 2-to 4-branched from upper nodes, branches also sometimes branched, sheathing leaves with attenuate, dry apices, 60-100 mm long. Foliage leaf solitary, basal, sheathing stem in lower half, channelled below becoming ± plane above, falcate, 12-20 mm wide, slightly twisted distally. Rhipidial spathes nodding, with dry brown attenuate apices, inner 50-70 mm long, outer ± 2/3 as long. Flowers fugaceous, nodding to nearly pendent, pale yellow, tepal limbs with creamy and darker yellow nectar guides minutely speckled dark green at bases, fully reflexed, claw tips clasping base of bulbous part of filament column, sweetly scented; outer tepals 28-34 x ± 8 mm, claws 3-4 mm long, erect; inner tepals oblong, 23-29 x ± 6 mm. Filaments ± 13 mm long, united in a bulbous column, cylindric and 2.5 mm at base, abruptly swollen to ± 3 mm diam., column tapering gradually to slender apex; anthers ± 6 mm long, diverging, pale yellow lined abaxially with grey; pollen pale yellow. Ovary ± top-shaped, 7-8 mm long, exserted, pedicel recurved; style branches ± 4 x 2 mm, diverging, expanded distally with stigmatic lobe wider than style branch and extended either side of anthers, crests straight, linear, 3-5 mm long. Capsules narrowly obovoid, 10-12 mm long. Seeds not known.

Cormous geophyte, up to 1 m tall, branching above. Leaf 1, clasping the stem below, channelled and trailing above. Flowers enclosed in green spathes, yellow, nodding, with tepals reflexed, filaments united in a thickened column, anthers diverging, exceeding the style branches.
