Plants slender, 150-300 mm high. Corm ± 10 mm diam.; tunics of firm, pale to dark brown fibres. Stem mostly 3 internodes long, rarely with 1 branch, sheathing leaves green with dry attenuate tips, 35-40 mm long. Foliage leaf solitary, ± basal, linear, channelled, 3-6 mm wide, exceeding stem, ± erect or trailing distally. Rhipidial spathes green with dry, brown attenuate apices, inner 35-60 mm long, outer ± 1/2 as long. Flowers long-lived, pale yellow often with conspicuous dark veins, outer tepal limbs with large deep yellow nectar guides at bases, usually edged dark brown, half reflexed; outer tepals 26-35 mm long, claws narrow, 12-15 mm long; inner tepals narrowly lanceolate, initially erect, limbs later spreading, 18-22 mm long. Filaments 4-5 mm long, free almost to base; anthers ± 6 mm long, brown; pollen yellow. Ovary narrowly ovoid, 8-11 mm long; style branches 12-15 mm long, crests ± linear, 7-10 mm long. Capsules ellipsoid, 12-15 mm long. Seeds angular.
