Plants 140-330 mm high. Corm ± 12 mm diam.; tunics light brown, with coarse, vertically ridged fibres. Stem 2-to 6-branched, rarely simple, sheathing leaves at upper nodes ± 10 mm long. Foliage leaves 1(2), lower ± basal, upper when present inserted from lowest aerial node, linear, channelled, usually slightly longer than stem, mostly 1.5-2.5 mm wide, margins straight. Rhipidial spathes green, becoming dry and brown apically, ± acute, inner ± 10 mm long, outer slightly shorter. Flowers fugaceous, yellow, limbs of all tepals with yellow nectar guides at bases, ± spreading to reflexed to 30º, unscented; claws ascending, ± 2.5 mm long, forming a cup enclosing lower half of filaments; outer tepals ± 14 x 9 mm, inner tepals ± 10 x 7 mm. Filaments ± 7 mm long, united in a smooth column, diverging in upper 1 mm; anthers ± 2 mm long, yellow; pollen yellow. Ovary narrowly obovoid, ± 2 mm long, style branches ± 2 mm long, appressed to and reaching upper 1/3 of anther, forked apically, without crests. Capsules ± globose to broadly ovoid, ± 4 mm long. Seeds angled.
