Plants epiphytic, up to 0.015 m high. Leaves absent. Inflorescence of several pendent racemes, 30-50 mm long, 10-flowered; pedicels 10 mm long. Flowers pale green, 8 mm in diam. Sepals subequal; median sepal erect, narrowly ovate, acute, 3-5 x 1.5 mm; lateral sepals spreading, suboblique, narrowly rhomboid, 4-5 x 1.5 mm. Petals hooding anther, narrowly oblong, subacute, 3.0-3.5 x 1 mm. Lip 3-lobed, midlobe sharply deflexed, triangular, 2 x 0.5 mm; side lobes rounded, porrect; spur tapering to acute apex, 17-25 mm long. Flowering time June.-Oct.
Short-stemmed epiphyte, normally leafless, with a mass of thin wiry roots that are unbranchefl and ± 1 mm thick. Flowers up to 14 mm in diameter. Flowers pale green or straw-coloured.
Roots very numerous, up to 20 cm long, 1–1.5 mm in diameter, light grey, unbranched, many hanging free and not attached to the substrate.
Leaves few, sometimes absent (when the plant has the appearance of Microcoelia), 11–35 × 2–5 mm, oblanceolate, with a petiolate base.
Lip 4–5 × 1 mm, narrowly triangular; spur 18–23 mm long, tapering from a wide mouth to become very slender.
Dorsal sepal erect, 4–5 × 1 mm, lanceolate; lateral sepals spreading, 4–6 × 1 mm, obliquely spathulate.
Inflorescences pendent, 2–4 per plant, 4–8 cm long, 6–10-flowered.
Petals similar to dorsal sepal but slightly smaller.
Pedicel and ovary 8–10 mm long, very slender.
Bracts sheathing, 2–3 mm long.
Stem short, up to 2 cm long.
Flowers greenish-white.
Epiphytic herb.
