An erect herb, nearly glabrous, simple or branched, 12-20 in. high; root-leaves oblong, wedge-shaped at the base, 4/5 in. long, 1/5 in. broad; petioles 2/5 in. long; stem-leaves linear, few-toothed, sessile, 4/5-2 in. long, 1/24-1/8 in. broad, or smaller; floral leaves bract-like, 1/12-1/5 in. long; inflorescence glandular; calyx-segments lanceolate-linear, glandular, 1/6 in. long; upper corolla-lobes oblong, 1/5-1/4 in. long, 1/6-1/5 in. broad; lower lip very ample, scarcely emarginate, 2/5-1/2 in. long, 4/5 in. broad; throat bearded; palate shaggy; spur short, conical, scarcely 1/6 in. long; capsule ovate, somewhat contracted at the apex with two short horns, 2/5-1/2 in. long, 1/4-1/3 in. broad.
