Characteristics

The flowers of this species have segments which are the largest in the genus, two to three inches long by up to half an inch wide. In general form it is clearly a development from N. humilis with the basal half of the segments not much crisped. Leaves 6 inches to 12 inches long by 1/2 to 1 inch broad. (15 to 30 cm long x 1-25 to 2-5 cm wide). The scape 12 to 18 ins. (30-45 cm). The pedicels number 6 to 13 and are two inches or more in length. The segments 1/2 in (12.5 mm). The colour can vary from a good pink with a darker central line to pure white. There is no pubescence and no appendix to the base of the stamen filaments.
