Nerine krigei W.F.Barker

Species

Angiosperms > Asparagales > Amaryllidaceae > Nerine

Characteristics

The scape [as 'stem'] is compressed. Leaves from well under 1 cm up to 1-9 cm wide, twisted; narrower leaves especially from smaller bulbs very twisted; some of the wider leaves very little twisted and much more like those of N. falcata. Scape 36-46 cm. The perianth segments are arranged, not in a regular and evenly distributed manner, but generally with five ascending and one below the filaments, or with all six more more or less in pairs and ascending. The segments are only very slightly crisped and they all have a clearly defined central darker coloured keel running the full length of the segment. No filament appendages.
