A small erect terrestrial herb with small tuber.. Leaf solitary, produced after inflorescence has withered, cordate, with a broadly triangular apex, suberect, 3–6 cm. long, 3–7 cm. broad, glabrous, green, sometimes marked above and flushed purple beneath; petiole slender, up to 7 cm. long.. Inflorescence erect, 1-flowered, mostly less than 8 cm. long but lengthening after fertilisation; scape terete, slender bearing 1–2 acuminate sheaths; bract ovate, 2–5 mm. long.. Flower erect or suberect, with whitish to reddish green sepals and petals and a white lip spotted rose-purple.. Sepals linear-lanceolate, acuminate, 1.4–1.9 cm. long, 0.2 cm. broad.. Petals similar but slightly shorter.. Lip porrect, obscurely 3-lobed in or below middle, convex, 1.4–1.5 cm. long, 0.7 cm. broad, with a longitudinal ridge in centre of lip; side lobes narrow, erect on each side of column; mid-lobe elliptic, over half length of lip.. Column clavate, subsigmoid, 6 mm. long, pubescent ventrally; anther truncate at apex, 2.7 mm. long.
