Leaf held horizontally 30–50 mm above ground, heart-shaped, 25–35 mm diameter, dark green above, reddish beneath, margins unevenly scalloped. Flower stem 100–200 mm long, 1-flowered. Flower opening widely, porrect, 25–30 × 25–35 mm, purplish brown with pink or mauve labellum. Dorsal sepal 18–23 × 2.5–3 mm, erect. Lateral sepals 18–23 × 2.5–3 mm, deflexed, widely divergent. Petals 15–18 × 1.5–2 mm, spreading. Labellum 14–18 × 5–6 mm; lateral lobes erect, whitish with thin, mauve, internal lines; midlobe sharply recurved, pink or mauve with white central line, papillate; callus a densely papillate ridge. Column whitish.
