Characteristics

Procumbent branched perennial, (0.03-)0.12-0.35 m tall, with branches spreading on ground. Stems sparsely hairy with slender 4-or 5-celled trichomes. Leaves broadly ovate or elliptic; (14-)17-24(-27) x (8-)9-15(-19) mm; pubescent on both surfaces; long-stalked, glandular trichomes abundant; apex acute to truncate; base cuneate; margin serrate; petiole (3.0-)6.4-8.4(-9.0) mm long. Bracts obovate, sometimes elliptic; 5.5-9.7(-14.0-) x (0.7-)0.8-1.3(-1.8) mm. Fruiting calyx: upper lip (5.5-)6.1-7.5(-8.2) x (3.2-)3.5-5.2(-6.1) mm and mature teeth (1.2-)1.3-1.7(-1.-9) mm long. Corolla white or mauve with pale nectar guides; (9-)11-14(-15) mm long; upper lip entire, lateral edges turning slightly inwards; (5.2-)6.1-8.4(-9.4) x (3.8-)4.3-6.5(-7.0) mm. Lower lip (4.0-)4.7-6.0(-6.3) x (2.7-)2.8-4.0(-4.5) mm. Stamens: upper pair (18-)19-22(-23) mm long; lower pair 22-27(-29) mm long. Style (25-)26-30 mm long; stigma lobes 0.9-1.3(-1.6) mm long.
