Characteristics

Erect branched perennial, (0.2-)0.3-0.5 m tall, with a single stem from the base. Stems densely hairy with 3-5-celled eglandular trichomes. Leaves elliptic to ovate; (7-)11-21(-31) x (2.4-)4.1-8.0(-11.6) mm; pubescent on upper surface, with rare long-stalked, glandular trichomes; apex acute to obtuse; base cuneate; margin serrate; petiole (1.0-)1.5-3.0(-4.5) mm long. Bracts broadly ovate, (3.1-)3.9-6.4(-9.3) x (1.6-)1.9-4.7(-6.0) mm. Fruiting calyx: upper lip (7-)8-10(-13) x (4.0-)4.6-5.5(-6.4) mm and mature teeth (1.2-)1.5-2.3(-2.6) mm long. Corolla white or mauve without nectar guides; 11-13(-14) mm long; upper lip fimbriate; lateral edges turned inwards with sides of upper lip parallel, upper pair of lobes with a constriction at the base; (6.5-)7.4-9.5(-0.5) x (3.5-)4.1-5.7(-6.0) mm; lower lip (4.9-)5.0-5.8(-6.2) x 3.5-4.1(-4.5) mm. Stamens: upper pair (14-)15-18(-19) mm long; lower pair (17-)18-22(-24) mm long. Style 24-25(-26) mm long, stigma lobes (1.0-)1.1-1.4(-1.6) mm long.
