Leaves alternate, erect-spreading-squarrose, sometimes recurved, flat and straight or somewhat irregularly bent, mid-ribbed, linear or narrowly obovate, 2-14 mm long, 1-3 mm wide, glabrous or sparsely pilose mainly marginally and on mid-rib dorsally, indistinctly glandular-punctate, acute, sometimes with hooked apex. Capitula 3-15 together in terminal cymes. Peduncles 2-10 mm long during flowering. Involucre urceolate-cyathiform, 2-4 mm wide. Involucral bracts 15-40, outer ovate, inner gradually narrower and oblong, innermost narrowly oblong-narrowly obovate and straight or apically somewhat spreading, up to 6 mm long, up to 2 mm wide, dorsally and apically gland-dotted, obtuse-rounded. Receptacle convex-conical, paleate. Paleae canaliculate, narrowly spatulate, 3.5-7 mm long, apically 0.3-0.8 mm wide, apically and dorsally gland-dotted, acute. Ray-florets 7-15. Tube cylindrical, 1.5-3 mm long, glandular. Lamina elliptic, 1.5-3.5 mm long, 0.8-1.5 mm wide, 4-veined. Style 2.5-4.5 mm long; style-branches 1.2-2 mm long. Achenes triquetrous, oblong, 1.4-2.3 mm long, 0.4-0.7 mm wide, ± densely pilose; pappus as in disc-florets. Disc-florets 16-35, perfect. Corolla 3-4.8 mm long, 0.6-0.9 mm wide. Tube cylindrical, ± glandular. Limb narrowly cyathiform; corolla lobes 0.4-0.7 mm long, dorsally ± gland-dotted. Style 3-5 mm long; style-branches 0.4-0.9 mm long, apically penicillate and truncate; stylo-podium distinct. Anthers 1.9-2.4 mm long; tails c. 1/5 of the length of the anther. Achenes almost terete, narrowly oblong, 1.4-2.3 mm long, 0.4-0.7 mm wide, glabrous; pappus crownlike, of ± connate scales, up to 1 mm long.
