Perennial decumbent herb with somewhat branched stems 15–40 cm. long, slightly woody below, ridged above and with small papillae on the ridges; perhaps slightly succulent.. Leaves succulent; blades elliptic or elliptic-oblong, 0.6–1.1 cm. long, 3–6.5 mm. wide, subacute, obtuse or rounded at the apex, rounded or broadly cuneate at the base, markedly revolute when dry, glabrous save for dense papillae on the margins at the base; petioles ± 1 mm. long, densely papillate pubescent; stipule-sheath 1–1.5 mm. long, densely papillate pubescent, with 1–2 teeth 0.3–1 mm. long..
