Leaves subsessile, 1–2.5 cm. x 1–6 mm., lanceolate, acute at the apex, attenuate at the base, scabrid puberulous above, ± glabrous beneath; stipule sheath c. 0.5 mm. long with 5–7 unequal fimbriae up to 1.5 mm. long.
Seeds black, ellipsoid, the longest dimension about 0.8 mm., the testa cells polygonal with straight walls and characteristic rather coarsely tuberculate reticulate lumen.
Calyx tube c. 0.7 mm. long, subglobose, distinctly papillate; lobes c. 1 mm. long, narrowly triangular or oblong, somewhat decurrent in fruit.
Corolla white; tube scarcely 2 mm. long, narrowly funnel-shaped, glabrous outside and throat not bearded; lobes c. 1 mm. long, ovate-oblong.
Annual herb according to collector but probably perennial, with weak probably straggling glabrous quadrangular stems branched from the base.
Capsule depressed, usually broader than long, 1.5–3 x 1.5–3 mm., distinctly papillate, the beak slightly raised, the valves c. 0.5 mm. tall.
Anthers sessile, about half-exserted; style exserted, the stigmatic lobes about 1 mm. long.
