Open-pollinated seedling of Ascolano. Seed from parent tree planted in 1947; selected in 1950; tested as A-2. Tree: very large; spreading; extremely vigorous; highly productive; flowers produced regularly with high pollen viability, making it a suitable pollinizer. Fruit: size medium; oblong to heart-shaped; skin tender, lenticels relatively inconspicuous at beginning of ripening and becoming prominent as ripening progresses; flesh between near white and ivory-yellow when ripe, tender, flavor strong when pickled; ripens early to mid-November.
