Branchlets puberulous, soon glabrescent.. Leaves opposite; petiole 5–10 mm. long; lamina thinly coriaceous, lanceolate or elliptic, 3–6.5 cm. long, 1–2.5 cm. wide, slightly acuminate to obtuse at the apex, cuneate at the base, soon glabrescent, with oblique lateral nerves.. Umbels 12–16-flowered, sparingly hairy; peduncle ± 2 mm. long; pedicels 1–1.5 mm. long; bract linear-lanceolate, long-spurred, 2–4 mm. long, ciliolate.. Receptacle 0.8–1 mm. long.. Calyx 0.2–0.3 mm. long.. Corolla pink, 1.3–1.5 cm. long (before lobes inrolled); tube 3 mm. long, with 5 V-shaped flaps halfway down; lobes red, free for ± 4 mm., ciliate, the upper parts joined.. Filaments attached to coherent part of the lobes, short; anthers 1.5–2 mm. long.. Stigma 0.6 mm. across.. Berry red, apparently similar to O. hildebrandtii .
