Leaves opposite to alternate; petiole 1–12 mm. long; lamina thinly coriaceous, green to grey-green, lanceolate to elliptic or ovate, 3–8 cm. long, 1–4.5 cm. wide, narrowed or slightly acuminate to acute or obtuse at the apex, cuneate at the base, pubescent on both surfaces, somewhat glabrescent, with 4–10 pairs of lateral nerves, the lower ones sometimes stronger and more ascending..
