Shrub to 0.5–2.5 m., becoming pendent; twigs stellate-puberulous, soon glabrescent.. Petiole 5–10 mm. long; lamina elliptic-oblanceolate to elliptic-obovate or obovate-circular, 4–10 cm. long, 1.5–5 cm. wide, bluntly pointed to rounded at the apex, cuneate to shortly rounded at the base, soon glabrescent; lateral nerves 2–4 pairs.. Racemes terminal on very short axillary shoots (bearing 2 leaves) or at old nodes, 16–40-flowered; axis 3–7 cm. long, densely whitish hairy; pedicels 0.5–1 mm. long, extended upwards by an ovate-triangular bract of same length.. Receptacle 1.5 mm. long.. Calyx 0.3–0.5 mm. long.. Corolla 3–3.7 cm. long, pinkish red, sometimes green at the base, with dark spots at the base of the lobes, and with fairly dense pale hairs covering the upper part of the lobes; bud-tip clavate; tube 1.5–1.8 cm. long; basal swelling 2.5–4 mm. long, narrowed for 2–3 mm. and then flared; lobes erect, recurved at the tip..
