Leaves usually single, occasionally 2; stipe 18–37 mm long, 40–50% of its length subterranean, stipe:lamina length ratio ± 1:1, old stipe bases not persistent; lamina mid-green, held at ± 75° from the horizontal, elliptic, sterile lamina usually flat, fertile lamina concave from above, 14–39 mm long, 2.5–5 mm wide, length:width ratio 4.8–9.5:1, apex acute, apiculate, base attenuate, margins flat; venation linear or elongate, with a few included veinlets and secondary veinsconfined to the margins, median band lacking; epidermal cells sub-isodiametric with wavy cell walls; stomata partially aligned.
