Roots slender, soft. Leaves basal, tufted; petiole 8--12 cm; leaf blade narrowly oblong, 13--18 × 1.8--2.5 cm, distinctly ca. 7-veined, base attenuate, apex acute to shortly acuminate. Scape 15--30 cm. Inflorescence a reduced panicle, 10--13 cm, laxly 15--20-flowered; bracts ovate to broadly so, membranous, basal one ca. 1 cm. Flowers solitary or in clusters of 2 or 3; pedicel ca. 8 mm, articulate proximally. Tepals white, oblong-lanceolate, ca. 8 × 1.5--2.5 mm. Filaments very short; anthers ca. 4 mm. Style ca. 8 mm. Fl. Aug. 2 n = 36*.
