Characteristics

A ground orchid. Plants can be 10-45 cm high. The leaves at the base are oval or sword shaped. The stem leaves are more narrow. The flower cluster is loose with 3-8 flowers. Each flower is about 2.5 cm wide. The lip looks like a wasp. It is 11-14 mm long and purplish-brown with a broad yellow edge.
