Erect, compact, rounded undershrub, 15–30 (–45) cm high, many-branched. Branches appearing leafless and finely longitudinally ridged, moderately hairy, with hairs 0.1–0.2 mm long. Leaves reduced, scale-like, sessile, narrowly triangular, 3–4 mm long, 1–1.4 mm wide, obtuse to subacute, with scattered minute hairs on margin. Inflorescence terminal on short lateral branches, variously cymose, 1–7-flowered. Calyx 2–2.5 mm long; lobes triangular to narrowly triangular, apically recurved, hairy. Corolla 2.5–3 mm long, c. 1/2–3/5-connate, white; lobes ovate to slightly oblong, rounded at apex; outer surface glabrous basally, with lobes hairy but often becoming glabrous towards margins; inner surface hairy medially, papillose near lobe apices. Ovary sparsely glandular-hairy; style glabrous.
A rare or infrequent subshrub,occurring in open shrublands or open Eucalyptusgonygylocarpa woodland, also associated with Plectrachne schinzii and Grevilleastenobotrium under Eucalyptus setosa,in red sandy soil.
