Herb or procumbent undershrub, 5–10 cm high, glabrous; branches with two lateral longitudinal ridges. Leaves with petiole 1–3 mm long; lamina narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate or oblong, 6–12 (–14) mm long, 3–6 (–8) mm wide, cuneate to attenuate, somewhat decurrent at base, slightly revolute at margin, obtuse to acute at apex. Inflorescence 1-flowered. Calyx (3–) 4.5–5 (–6) mm long, glabrous, usually with a few minute papillae on midrib of outer surface; lobes narrowly ovate, tapering to subulate. Corolla 4–8 mm long, c. 2/3-connate, white; lobes ovate to elliptic, obtuse; outer surface glabrous; inner surface sparsely hairy throughout tube and on basal half of lobes, with spreading, crinkly hairs. Ovary and style glabrous.
Usuallyan infrequent species of open sclerophyll forest or woodland communities,occasionally in low shrubland or heathland communities; in sandy soils of theHawkesbury sandstone, also in loamy or clayey soils.
