Erect, ±compact caespitose subshrub, 15–30 (–40) cm high; branches ±terete with usually c. 6 fine to deep longitudinal furrows, moderately to densely hairy, frequently hispid; hairs 0.1–0.5 (–0.8) mm long. Leaves sessile, narrowly elliptic to obovate or oblong, 6.1–12.8 mm long, 0.9–1.8 mm wide, rarely only triangular leaf bases persisting, slightly to strongly revolute, often slightly recurved at apex; both surfaces hairy. Inflorescence 1-(occasionally appearing 2–5)-flowered. Calyx (4.5–) 6–8.5 mm long; lobes narrowly ovate to narrowly triangular. Corolla 7–13 mm long (female flowers frequently smaller), 1/2-connate, white; tube glabrous outside, with scattered hairs inside; lobes oblong to obovate, rounded to slightly apiculate, ±hairy on outer surface, densely papillose/hairy on inner surface. Ovary very sparsely glandular-hairy; style glabrous.
Commonly associated with heathlands or lowshrublands, occasionally associated with low Banksia or Eucalyptuscalophylla woodland, in sandy soil, often overlying laterite or claycolluvium.
