Corolla rose-salmon in colour, glabrous, the petals with dark venation when dry; standard up to 13 × 14 mm, oblate, broadly cuneate to cordate at the base; wings with blade 12 × 8 mm, semicircular; keel with blade 11.5 × 6.5 mm, similar in shape but more narrowed to the apex.
Calyx tube 5 mm long, glabrous; upper lobes c. 3 mm long, oblong-falcate, lateral lobes c. 6 mm long, oblong-triangular, lowest lobe 7–8.5 mm long, all glabrous save apex sometimes ciliate.
Small shrub 1.5–2(4) m tall; branchlets blackish-grey covered with short tubercular-based hairs when young, but later glabrous, lacking white pubescence on young shoots.
Inflorescence 1–2-flowered; peduncle up to 10 mm long; pedicels 7–13 mm long, the bracteoles 2–3 mm long, ciliate, c. 2 mm below calyx base.
Ovary c. 6 mm long, faces appressed-pubescent and margins with tubercular-based hairs.
