Frutex in pleiochasium diffuse ramosus partibus junioribus ± arachnoideis vetustioribus glabris vel rarissime sparse hispidis; rami ± decumbentes-proslrati 2-5 mm crassi subgraciles angulati, angulis e nervo medio foliorum decurrenti effectis ± scabris-sparse hispidis vel rarius laevibus; internodia 0.5-2 cm longa vel in ramis floriferis longiora. Folia alterna subsemiamplexicaulia sessilia vel inferiora basin versus in petiolum inconspicuum cuneatim angustata elliptica-oblonga-oblanceolata (vel summa sublinearia) petiolo incluso 2-6 cm longa 0.5-1.5 cm lata acuta calloso-mucronata coriacea vel rarius submembranacea margine cartilaginea dentato-crenata et inter crenas saepe rigide ciliata vel aculeolata. Capitula parva in ramulis terminalia; pedunculi capitulorum graciles 1-3 cm longi bracteis paucis linearisubulatis vel linearibus (vel rarius oblanceolato-linearibus) instructi. Involucrum turbinato-campanulatum 4-6(-8) mm altum araneosum glabrescens; squamae imbricatae acuminatae 2-3-seriatae, exteriores lineari-lanceolatae 1.5-3 mm longae, interiores ovato-lanceolatae 3-6 mm longae 1-2 mm latae sat late albido-marginatae. Flores radii flavi pauci 4-6 involucrum fere duplo superantes; flores disci flavi involucro fere aequilongi. Achaenia glabra laevia vel basi sulcata cylindracea c. 6 mm longa c. 2 mm diam.
