Characteristics

Frutex humilis c. 2 dm (vel ultra?) altus; rami patentes ± decumbentes teretes striati dense foliati, internodiis 2-5 mm longis, juniores arachnoideo-lanati, vetustiores glabrati fusci. Folia alterna coriacea sessilia vel subsessilia floccoso-arachnoidea glabrescentia anguste oblanceolata-sublinearia semiamplexicaulia apice acuta vel obtusa mucronatoqmngentia margine leviter cartilaginea integerrima 1-3 cm longa 2-5 mm lata; nervus medius subtus elevatus. Capitula in apicibus ramorum solitaria pedunculata; pedunculi erecti vel adscendentes 1-1.5 cm longi dense albido-lanati bracteis paucis lineari-subulatis 3-4 mm longis sursum in squamas involucri sensim transeuntibus instructi. Involucrum late campanulatum c. 7 mm altum; squamae 2-3-seriatae imbricatae dorso arachnoideo-lanatae, exteriores lineari-subulatae c. 5 mm longae c. 0.5-0.8 mm latae vix albido-marginatae, interiores lineari-lanceolatae 6-7 mm longae c. 1.5 mm latae acuto-acuminatae margine albido-scariosae apicem versus saepe violaceae. Flores radii 10-12; ligulae flavae involucrum paullo (2-3 mm) superantes; ovarium trigonum glabrum calvum; flores disci flavi. Achaenia ignota.
