Characteristics

Frutex erectus c. 1 m altus apicem versus corymbose ramosus; rami teretes lignescentes primo laxe floccoso-lanati mox glabrescentes; internodia plerumque 0.5-1 cm longa. Folia alterna coriacea oblanceolata vel spathulata sessilia vel basin versus sensim in petiolum angustata petiolo incluso (2-)3-7 cm longa 0.5-1.5 cm lata apice subacuta-rotundata vix mucronulata margine subcartilaginea integerrima saepe ± crispa, juniora floccoso-lanala, adulteriora glabrata; nervus medius albidus subtus elevatus, nervi secundarii vix conspicui. Inflorescentiae in ramis terminates corymbosae paucicapitulatae; pedicelli capitulorum laxe albo-lanati mox glabrescentes subrigidi 2-5 cm longi bracteis paucis lineari-subulatis c. 3 mm longis instructi. Involucri squamae subglabrae fere biseriatae, exteriores anguste lanceolatae c. 3 mm longae, interiores ovato-lanceolatae acuminatae c. 5 mm longae c. 2 mm latae margine anguste albido-scariosae serrulato-fimbriatae. Flores radii c. 10; ligulae flavae involucrum plus duplo superantes; ovarium acute triangulare glabrum calvum. Flores disci numerosi flavi; appendix apicalis connectivorum violacea. Achaenia matura ignota.
