Characteristics

Suffrutex 2-3 dm altus; caulis erectus valde lignescens c. 3 mm crassus teres striatus brevissime glanduloso-pilosus (exsiccatus hirtus) superne parce ramosus; internodia 0.5-1 cm longa. Folia alterna crassiuscula brevissime glanduloso-pilosa usque 5 cm longa bipinnatipartita vel superiora pinnatipartita, jugis (1-)2-4, pinnis usque 1.5 cm longis, laciniis linearibus remote dentatis saepe leviter involutis; folia summa pinnatipartita-dentata 0.5-1 cm longa. Inflorescentiae paucicapitulatae corymbosae in caule et ramis terminales; pedunculi capitulorum graciles 3-6 cm longi brevissime glanduloso-pilosi (exsiccati asperi) bracteis paucis lineari-subulatis integerrimis vel rarius remote denticulatis 2-7 mm longis instructi; capitula fructifera nutantia. Involucrum late campanulatum c. 6 mm altum; squamae numerosae 2-3-seriatae imbricatae acutae dorso glandulosae, glandulis brevissime stipitatis, exteriores lanceolato-lineares c. 3 mm longae margine anguste albido-scariosae, interiores anguste lanceolatae 5-6 mm longae 1-1.5 mm latae margine sat late albido-scariosae ± ciliato-fimbriatae. Flores radii c. 20; ligulae flavae involucrum vix duplo superantes; flores disci flavi involucro fere aequilongi. Achaenia dura glabra triangulariellipsoidea c. 5 mm longa trialata, alis stramineis semipellucidis 0.5-1 mm latis; latera sulco longitudinali usque ad gibberem apicalem instructa; cavernula apicalis trifenestrata, fenestris parvis subrotundis.
