Herba annua c. 5 dm alta; caulis erectus superne ramosus teres sulcato-striatus partibus junioribus glandulosus herbaceus vel basi parum lignescens ad 7 mm crassus corymbo terminatus ramis lateralibus corymbit'eris valde superatus; internodia saepe 1-2 cm longa. Folia alterna crassiuscula subglauca glabra ± pulverulenta trinervia margine integerrima, inferiora elliptica vel oblanceolata basin versus cuneatim in petiolum angustata petiolo incluso uscpie 6(-8) cm longa usque 2(-3) cm lata, media et superiora (ob)lanceolata vel linearilanceolata basin versus sensim longeque angustata et saepe obtuse auriculata apicem versus angustata acuta. Inflorescentiae ± densae in caule et ramis terminates corymbosae; pedicelli capitulorum graciles 2-6 cm longi parce glandulosi nudi vel bracteis paucis subulatis instructi; capitula sub anthesi erecta post florationem nutantia. Involucrum late campanulatum 4-5 mm altum; squamae biseriatae lineares vel lanceolato-lineares acuminatae dorso parce glandulosae anguste albido-marginatae, exteriores 2-3 mm longae, interiores 4-5 mm longae 0.5-1 mm latae. Flores radii 15-20; ligulae flavae involucrum plus duplo superantes; flores disci numerosi flavi involucro fere aequilongi. Achaenia triangulari-pyriformia 3-4 mm longa c. 2 mm lata trialata, alis subpellucidis c. 1 mm latis; latera glabra leviter sulcata et foveolata; cavernula apicalis trifenestrata, fenestris parvis rotundis.

Cypselas small, 3-4 mm long, triangular-pear-shaped, with 3, ± 1 mm-broad wings and 3 apical windows.
