Suffrutex 1-4(-6) dm altus ramosus; caules e caudice subterraneo lignoso usque 1 cm crasso erecti vel adscendentes valde lignescentes basi 2-3 mm crassi; caules et rami densissime foliati glabri vel axillis foliorum floccoso-arachnoidei nervo medio foliorum decurrenti leviter angulati. Folia alterna sessilia semiamplexicaulia subcarnosa glabra rigida erecta vel incurva lineari-subulata 2-7 cm longa 0.1-0.2 cm lata (vel infima anguste oblanceolato-linearia usque 0.6 cm lata) acuta margine integerrima ± involuta supra canaliculata subtus nervo medio elevato carinata. Capitula in pedunculis gracilibus 2-3 cm longis axillaribus vel terminalibus solitaria; bracteae pedunculorum paucae remotae lineari-subulatae 3-5 mm longae sursum in squamas involucri sensim transeuntes. Involucrum turbinatum 8-10 mm altum; squamae glabrae biseriatae laxe imbricatae acuminatae, exteriores anguste lanceolatae 4-6 mm longae c. 1 mm latae margine leviter scariosae, interiores lanceolatae c. 8 mm longae c. 2 mm latae margine sat late scariosae. Flores radii c. 10; ligulae flavae involucro aequilongae vel paullo breviores; ovarium trigonum glabrum calvum. Flores disci flavi involucro fere dimidio breviores. Achaenia matura ignota.
